CW Post Athletics

Kathy Renton is in her seventh season as Assistant Athletic Trainer at C.W. Post. She has served as team trainer for a variety of different sports, and in addition to her athletic training responsibilities, she manages and organizes all budgetary issues and supply ordering for the department. She also played a key role in the development of the auxiliary athletic training room in the newly constructed Pratt Recreation Center.

 

Prior to her arrival, Renton graduated from the University of Delaware, where she worked with a number of athletic teams, including the Blue Hens football and wrestling squads. Following graduation with a bachelor’s degree in health and physical education with an athletic training concentration, Kathy was employed as head athletic trainer at the Medical Center of Delaware-Schwietzers Physical Therapy and Middletown High School in Middletown, Del. After two years of service, she taught at West Mecklenburg High School, in Charlotte, N.C., and served as head athletic trainer at the school for three years.

 

Renton is an active member of both the National Athletic Trainers' Association and Eastern Athletic Trainers' Association. She resides in Bellmore, N.Y.
