Junior guard Janea Aiken was named Daktronics First Team by the region's sports information directors.
Aiken Named To Daktronics East Region First Team

BROOKVILLE, N.Y. (March 10, 2010) – The 2009-10 Daktronics Inc. women’s basketball all-region teams were announced and junior guard Janea Aiken (St. Albans, N.Y.) was voted First Team by the region’s sports information directors.
Senior guard Johannah Leedham (Ellesmere Port, England) of Franklin Pierce University was selected as East Region Player of the Year and was also named First Team.
Also joining Leedham and Aiken on First Team was junior forward Catherine Carr (Bernardsville, N.J.), senior forward Amelia Simmons (Wilmington, Del.) of Wilmington University and senior forward Kelsey Simonds (Middleboro, Mass.) of Stonehill College.
The Second Team consisted of junior guard Kim Brennan (Locust Valley, N.Y.) of Bentley University, junior guard Kirsty Leedham (Ellesmere Port, England) of Caldwell College, senior forward Kymira Woodberry (Hyde Park, Mass.) of Molloy College, junior guard Emily Rousseau (Biddeford, Maine) of Stonehill College and graduate guard Christie Marrone (Brooklyn, N.Y.) of Dowling College.
Aiken was the 2010 ECC Player of the Year and led the team with 16.6 points a game. She was the high scorer in 19 of the Pioneers’ 29 games. She scored her 1,000th career point against Mercy this season.
C.W. Post registered its third 20-win season in program history with an overall 20-9 record and 14-7 mark in the East Coast Conference.
