Aiken Tabbed ECC Player of the Week

CENTRAL ISLIP, N.Y. (Feb. 8, 2010) – Junior guard Janea Aiken (St. Albans, N.Y.) was named this week’s East Coast Conference Player of the Week. Aiken shares the honor with St. Thomas Aquinas’Briana Sloper.
Aiken averaged 21.5 points last week. She scored her 1,000th career point as part of a 21-point effort in a win against Queens College on Wednesday. She followed it up with 22 points, five assists and three steals in a tough loss at Bridgeport.
So far, Aiken has received ECC Player of the Week honors five times this season.
C.W. Post (16-5, 11-4 ECC) returns to action to host Mercy College on Wednesday before closing out the week at home against Dowling College.
