Women's Lacrosse Ranked Second In Final IWLCA Poll

BROOKVILLE, N.Y. (June 7, 2009) – The final Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) poll was released and C.W. Post registered second in the 10-team field, it was announced this week.
National champion Adelphi University (18-0) received a unanimous 10 first-place votes to finish atop the poll while runner-up Lock Haven University was third. Limestone and Mercyhurst were fourth and fifth, respectively. West Chester, New Haven, Gannon, Dowling and Stonehill rounded out the poll.
C.W. Post (16-3) advanced to the NCAA Championships for the fourth straight year.
