Former Softball Standout Samantha Yodowitz Debuts With Philadelphia Force

Elgin, Ill. (June 7, 2009) - Former softball standout Samantha Yodowitz debuted as a member of the Philadelphia Force over the weekend.
Yodowitz got her first start in the pitching circle Sunday afternoon against the 2008 National Pro Fastpitch Champion Chicago Bandits. The Force rallied late in the game but fell to the Bandits, 9-4. Yodowitz surrendered four earned runs on six hits throught two and a third innings.
Yodowitz is the second softball player from C.W. Post and the East Coast Conference to be signed to a professional contract. Jennifer Lowerre '94 played for the Carolina Diamonds and the Tampa Bay Firestix between 1997 and 1999. The 2008 ECC Player of the Year posted a 90-27 record with a 1.68 ERA and struck out 586 batters in 792 innings.
