Face-Off Magazine Selects Men's Lacrosse As Team To Beat In 2010

BALTIMORE (Dec. 8, 2009) – Face-Off Magazine released its 2010 men’s lacrosse preseason poll and favored C.W. Post as the top team in the field of ten. In addition, seven players were selected to preseason All-America teams.
C.W. Post capped off its 2009 season by winning the national title with an 8-7 win over LeMoyne, who was selected second in the poll. Mercyhurst was picked third followed by New York Tech, Merrimack, Limestone, Dowling, Molloy, St. Leo and Bentley.
Senior midfielder Mike Cama (Levittown, N.Y.) and senior defender Bryan Leonard (Yorktown, N.Y.) were First Team selections.  
Junior midfielder Mike Messina (Sayville, N.Y.), junior defender Joe Blount (Inwood, N.Y.) and senior defender Richard Schmidt (Hicksville, N.Y.) named to the Second Team. 
Senior midfielder Joe Meo (West Sayville, N.Y.) and junior goalkeeper Dan Orlando (South Hempstead, N.Y.) were named Honorable Mention.
C.W. Post opens its 2010 season on a two-game road trip at Queens University (N.C.) on Feb. 13 and Catawba College on Feb. 16.
