Babic Honored As ECC Offensive Player Of The Week

CENTRAL ISLIP, N.Y. (Oct. 26, 2009)- The East Coast Conference released its weekly report Monday evening, selecting C.W. Post junior forward Ivana Babic (Haninge, Sweden) as conference Offensive Player of the Week. The honors come after Babic accumulated six points in the Pioneers’ three wins last week to help C.W. Post improve to an overall record of 11-4-1, 5-1 in the ECC.
Babic registered two goals and two assists to help C.W. Post to a 3-0 in conference play last week. On Monday Babic scored the lone goal of the game, unassisted, in the 24th minute to lead the Pioneers to a 1-0 win over St. Thomas Aquinas. On Saturday afternoon, she tallied one goal and two assists to push C.W. Post to an 8-0 victory over Mercy College.
C.W. Post will be back in action Wednesday afternoon as they travel to Southern New Hampshire to take on the Penmen at 4 p.m.
