KANSAS CITY, Kan. (Sept. 16, 2008)- The National Soccer Coaches Association of America released their division two rankings on Tuesday afternoon, bumping C.W. Post into the 6th place slot.
The Pioneers jumped four spots from last week’s poll, moving from 10th up to 6th place. They remain the only East Coast Conference team to be ranked in the national poll. The Pioneers also climbed to first in the Eastern Division, bumping former first place holder Franklin Pierce down to third place.
C.W. Post continued its winning streak with a 4-0 win over Caldwell College in their home opener, and a 1-0 win in overtime over cross-town and ECC rival Adelphi University. The Pioneers currently have the longest unbeaten streak (19) in the nation.
The Pioneers take the field again Wednesday afternoon as they host Southern Connecticut State University at 4 p.m.
