BROOKVILLE, N.Y. (May 6, 2008) – The IWLCA/Under Armour Division II National poll was released this week and C.W. Post women’s lacrosse is ranked third overall, receiving one first-place vote.
Adelphi University, who triumphed over the Pioneers with a 7-4 win on May 2, received 91 points along with four first-place votes to top the poll this week. Limestone College was second with 86 overall points and four first-place votes. West Chester University was fourth with 78 points and one first-place vote, followed by No. 5 Stonehill College, No. 6 Lock Haven University, No. 7 Gannon College, No. 8 Mercyhurst College, No. 9 University of New Haven and No. 10 Southern New Hampshire Universtiy. Belmont Abbey received votes this week.
The Pioneers (16-1, 5-1 ECC) will face Adelphi again in the NCAA Division II Semifinals on May 15 at 11 a.m. in Houston, Texas.
