Yodowitz Named ECC Player, Pitcher Of The Week

CENTRAL ISLIP, N.Y. (May 5, 2008) – Senior pitcher
Samantha Yodowitz (Suffern, N.Y.) recorded a 3-0 record and was named this week’s East Coast Conference Player and Pitcher of the Week.
Yodowitz was named the Named Most Valuable Player of the ECC Championships, guiding the Pioneers to the title with a 2-1 win over Adelphi. She went 3-0 with a 1.71 ERA, striking out 12 batters and allowing four earned runs on 15 hits in 21 innings pitched while keeping opponents to a .197 batting average. At the plate, she hit for power with a .333 average during the tournament.
C.W. Post (44-14, 18-2 ECC) is currently ranked 10th in this week’s National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) and first in the Northeast region. The Pioneers will host the NCAA Division II Northeast softball tournament.
