CENTRAL ISLIP, N.Y. (Oct. 27, 2008)- The East Coast Conference released its weekly report, naming freshman
Allie Weiser (Grand Island, N.Y.) Goalkeeper of the Week for the first time this season.
Weiser earned herself two shut outs and two wins last week in a Pioneers uniform. Weiser tallied a total of 14 saves at keeper in three games for C.W. Post. Weiser made seven saves against Pace University, a game that ended in a double overtime 0-0 tie. She notched five saves to ensure the Pioneers a 3-2 win over Queens College. She finished out the week making two saves as C.W. Post shut out conference rival Molloy College, 2-0.
Wesier has accumulated a personal record of 10-0-1 for the season. She has made 36 saves and averaged . 38 goals against per game, earning a total of seven shutouts.
With Wesier’s help in net, the C.W. Post Pioneers have been ranked first in the East Coast Conference, securing an ECC playoff bid.
