Val Holt Tabbed As USTFCCCA Northeast Region Assistant Track Coach of the Year

The United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association recently announced its regional coaches of the year in Division II, and C.W. Post assistant coach Val Holt has been recognized as the coach of the year on the women's side in the Northeast Region.
Holt, the Pioneers' jumps coach, lifted C.W. Post to an outstanding season in both genders. He mentored Christine Locher and Colleena Guy to personal bests on the women's side, while senior Junaid Hamin-Gilliam placed ninth in the long jump at the NCAA Division II Men's Outdoor Track and Field Championships.
Head coach Rich Degnan helped C.W. Post to the inaugural East Coast Conference championships in both genders, and in both indoor and outdoor track and field in 2006-07.
