C.W Post Director of Athletics Bryan Collins has appointed Bill Gaffney as the interim head coach of the baseball team.  Gaffney, who has been involved with the program as an assistant for the last seven seasons, is a veteran coach with experience on both the collegiate and summer league levels. He assumes the interim head coach position following the resignation of head coach Pete Timmes on January 31, who left the position for personal reasons.

After being on the road over the past two weeks, the men's and women's basketball teams will return home Wednesday night for a conference doubleheader against the New York Institute of Technology as the campus will be celebrating Post Pride Day.

The C.W. Post men's basketball team rebounded from a double-digit second-half deficit to win on a last second jumper by Stefan Bonneau (Middletown, N.Y.) and hand Dowling a 69-67 defeat and earn its seventh straight victory on Sunday afternoon.

The C.W. Post women's swimming team won its final match of the regular season, defeating the University of Bridgeport 154-100 on Saturday afternoon at the Pratt Recreation Center.  Prior to the contest, seniors Sandra Kirstein (Hollviken, Sweden) and Cornelia Hanes (Stockholm, Sweden) were recognized for their achievements over the past four seasons.
