C.W. Post scored six runs in the top of the ninth inning to defeat top-seeded St. Thomas Aquinas, 9-4, and went on to defeat the University of New Haven, 5-1, for a two-game sweep in the East Coast Conference baseball championship tournament.

Senior midfielder Mallory Poole (Corning, N.Y.) has been named the East Coast Conference Women’s Lacrosse Player of the Year while nine C.W. Post players received All-Conference recognition.

Senior first baseman Holly Eringis (Tewksbury, Mass.) was named to ESPN's Academic All-District Second Team, as voted on by Cosida members, it was announced Friday.

Due to the inclement weather, Friday’s NCAA Northeast Region Softball sessions have been postponed and will be played as scheduled on Saturday, beginning at 9 a.m., where the University of New Haven will take on Bryant University in Game 9 of the tournament.  Game 10 featuring Caldwell College and Adelphi University will follow at 11:30 a.m.  Game 11 will be played at 2 p.m. when host C.W. Post meets LeMoyne College.  Game 12 will feature the winners of Games 9 and 10 and will start at 4:30 p.m.

Messina headlines four Pioneers that were named to the all conference teams. Messina recorded nine points on four goals and five assists

Samantha Yodowitz (Suffern, N.Y.) pitched a one-hit shutout and went 2-for-3 at the plate, as 9th-ranked softball advanced to the winners bracket final of the NCAA Northeast Regional Championships with a 2-0 win over Caldwell College on Thursday afternoon.
