The National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics released its final Learfield Sports Directors’ Cup Division II school rankings for the 2008-09 academic year and C.W. Post climbed to No. 41 in the field of 233 institutions, ranking the highest among all East Coast Conference schools.
6.29.2009 | Women's Soccer
The East Coast Conference announced Maria Sonnerborg (Bjarred, Sweden) of the C.W. Post women’s soccer team and senior defender Patrick Cunningham (Oakdale, N.Y.) of the Dowling College men’s soccer team as this year’s Scholar Athletes.
6.23.2009 | Women's Lacrosse
Several Pioneers lacrosse alumni and coaches are taking part in the Women’s Lacrosse World Cup, being held in Prague, as part of the Irish National Team, currently with a 3-0 record in the games. 
6.22.2009 | Men's Lacrosse
C.W. Post head men’s lacrosse coach John Jez was awarded the Hudson Valley Section 1 Man of the Year award. The award was presented by the Section 1 high school coaches and administrators and highlights an individual’s commitment to community service as well as promotion of a sport and area of achievement.

New York state governor David Paterson met with the C.W. Post men’s lacrosse NCAA national championship team at the State House Tuesday afternoon. C.W. Post was one of four teams honored along with Division III champion SUNY Cortland, and the Division II champion Adelphi University women’s lacrosse team.

The Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association announced the honorees for the Player of the Year. Seniors Jaclyn Napoli (West Islip, N.Y.) and Katie Hogan (Farmingdale, N.Y.) were named Attacker and Midfielder of the Year, respectively.

The East Coast Conference announced the Commissioner’s Honor Roll for the 2008-09 academic year and 54 student-athletes from C.W. Post received recognition for achieving a grade point average of 3.25 or higher. In all, 628 student-athletes from all 10 member ECC institutions were announced.

A four-goal performance against LeMoyne College for the NCAA Division II men’s lacrosse national championship following an astonishing season has earned C.W. Post senior attacker Greg Cerar (Massapequa Park, N.Y.) a spot in the June 22 issue of Sports Illustrated’s “Faces In The Crowd” section, the magazine announced Tuesday afternoon.

The Eastern College Athletic Association (ECAC) Player of the Year announced the 2009 First Team All-Stars and seniors Katie Hogan (Farmingdale, N.Y.) and Jaclyn Napoli (West Islip, N.Y.) along with junior Kim Williams (Long Valley, N.J.) were named to the squad, it was announced Thursday.
